U.S. National Downhill Champ!
What a couple of days! Coming off of yesterday’s NorAm win I was psyched and ready to go for today’s U.S. National Championship race. High winds forced the organizers to move the start down to the Super G start, which shortened the course by close to 30 seconds. Then the start was delayed by 45 minutes with most of the top guys stuck at the start while course work was being done on a super rough gate on the pitch
Redemption!
After placing 2nd in the first downhill training run, and winning the second training run by .7 here in Aspen, I ran into a little obstacle called Mother Nature in the first race yesterday. The wind was blowing up, down and around, and the clouds were moving in and out, making the light very unpredictable
Last Week in Euroland
I was all over the place for the last week and a half that I was in Europe and didn’t have the energy or motivation to blog anything, but now that I’m home for a couple days it’s slowly coming back
Kitzbühel!
The Hannenkam! Okay so it wasn’t the downhill but still. I had the opportunity to race the Super G at Kitzbuhel today. The most famous and storied track on the World Cup circuit
