I’ve been in Argentina for ten days now and thought I would share some observations from the short time I’ve been here:

  1. The skiing is great.
  2. The people are friendly & funny.
  3. Excessively loud music at all times of the day is acceptable (especially before 8am).
  4. The national beer is Quillmes. Roughly pronounced “kill-me’s”, which is funny.
  5. If you don’t like the weather, wait five minutes.
  6. If you like the weather, wait five minutes.
  7. Breakfast is not the most important meal of the day unless you like corn flakes & milk.
  8. Stray dogs are really, really good at finding food in the trash.
  9. Hotel rooms are bigger than in Europe. (Hint hint Europe!)
  10. Hirscher’s still got it.
Definitely enjoying it over here! Training has been really good so far, and we are one day away from the end of our second, five day block. I’ve been mixing it up with Super G and GS, making strides in both. One of the best things about this place is the variety of terrain/lane choices, which keeps things interesting
