As the new season truly begins, I realized I hadn’t really put up a post about last season and the plan moving forward into this one.

By many accounts last season was a good one for me. I locked up two World Cup spots (GS & SG), and lowered my points immensely in my three disciplines. I now sit ranked 34 in GS, 39 in Super G, and 53 in downhill. All are things that I’m really proud of and that will set me up for great start numbers in this season’s World Cup races.

Where I failed last year was at the World Cup level. I had zero top 30 finishes, and other than a few races I didn’t ski up to the level I was skiing at in training.Moving into this season the focus is clear; GS and Super G at World Cups. Needless to say if I’m not ranked in the top 30 in either discipline by seasons end, I’ll be extremely disappointed!

Our new coaches and I made some great gains in my skiing towards the end of the season that have me really psyched about what I’ll be able to accomplish this season. A new dryland focus and more flexibility about where I’m training has me excited as well. I’ve gained 5kg since May, and feel fresher mentally than any season in recent memory.

Basically what I’m trying to say here is that I’m super pumped for this season and I expect big things of myself!
