I will not be going to Sochi to race in the 2014 Olympic Games. It went right down to the wire but in the end I was not selected. I’ve had a few days to let it settle and have come to terms with it. Obviously I was super disappointed when I wasn’t selected, but I’ve regrouped pretty quickly and am more determined than ever not to be on the bubble for selection when the 2018 Games come around!

Going forward I’ve put a new plan for the rest of this season in motion:

Race the World Cup GS tomorrow in St Moritz.
Head back to North America to race the 2nd NorAm GS in Stowe.
Take a few days off before moving to Ste Anne for the NorAm speed series there.
Regeneration week, before travelling back to Europe to race in the Kvitfjell, NOR, & Kransjka Gora, SLO, World Cups.
Back across the pond to race at NorAm Finals in Nakiska, & Nationals in Whistler.

After sitting down with the coaches we think this is the best plan of action to secure the NorAm GS title, and potentially the Overall (might have to try my luck at some slalom racing to get that one!).

One of the only positives of not going to the Games is that I can thank everyone who has helped me get here!

As always thanks to everyone for their support, and rest assured this speed bump won’t slow me down!
