I’m racing Soelden!
After a seriously crappy week in Hintertux, five of us booked it over to Soelden on Friday afternoon with the unreal opportunity to train on the race hill in Soelden on Saturday. The training would also be the qualifier to get into the race between Phil Brown and I. We had a pretty good battle over four runs, and I’m pumped that I wound up on top.
One of my main goals this summer has been to get my GS skiing back after a brutal season in the event last year, and up to a level where I can compete in World Cups. I’m definitely feeling a lot better than ever in GS after this summers training, and getting the chance to race in the first WC of the year is a good step in getting to where I want to be.
Robbie, JP, Johnny, and I are in Saas Fee, SUI for a few days of training on injection before moving back over to Austria for a bit of rest and maybe some more prep before the race on Sunday.
