Taking my first day off today since training runs started a week ago in Lake Louise. It’s much needed! I skipped out on the 2nd Noram GS in Aspen yesterday to come over to Beaver Creek and run the first DH training run. A couple reasons for this… First my legs were so pooched, skiing GS was a major chore and I wasn’t able to put out even close to a performance I want/need there. Secondly by coming here I at least got a good feeler run on the track (even with tired legs) that I’ll be racing on later this week. Seemed like a good compromise to me.
Anyways here is a walkthrough of the Birds of Prey World Cup DH track. Inspecting it was seriously intimidating, but skiing it was one of the most fun times I had on skis. It’s just a great track!
